30 Brushes (source engine)
Contest entry

The contest run by was simply about creating something beautiful and eye catching while only using 30 brushes; brushes are convex 3D shapes created within the source engines tool Hammer, they allow level designers to define the shape of the world. The majority of my brush count for the entry went towards the buoy; i decided that this would be the main object in the scene and detailed it accordingly.

All the content used within the scene is stock Half-life 2 & Episode 2, aside from the sky texture which was created by komaokc and can be downloaded here.
